I want you to feel beautiful inside and out.
I had hit rock bottom. I hated my body, gained over 100 pounds, was in an unhealthy relationship, and didn’t see my biological son hardly ever. I didn’t have a job and I developed an acute case of agoraphobia. I failed all of my college courses because I simply stopped going.
Then something changed. I made a conscious decision to change. I got a job at a restaurant. I got a second job at Lane Bryant. I moved out from that house that was keeping me prisoner with that man that held me back.
I started to see how much my life was worth and how truly beautiful I was. I blossomed.
Working at Lane Bryant showed me just how terribly I had been treating myself… because I was watching other women do the same thing to themselves every day. I wanted to help them. I needed to help them.
I had a baby in November of 2015 and was able to stay at home with him, but I still felt the urge to inspire and teach women to love themselves. That’s why I made this blog. This is my way of doing that while reaching a much larger audience.
It’s time to put those voices in your head to rest. The voices that tell you that you aren’t good enough or you’re too fat/skinny/old/shy/ugly/short/etc.
(More) About Me
- Black hair, winged eyeliner, big blue eyes.
- Over-dramatic, friendly, obsessed with food.
- Can’t swim, use chopsticks, or trill my tongue. (No, seriously. I can’t.)
My name is Emily, but sometimes I go by the name of Mimi. I was just nine years old when I first started making web sites. Crazy, right?
I am currently 30 years old. I am happily married to the love of my life (Joe) and we have an unconventional family together.
You see, I have a 12 year old son named Mason that lives with my mother. March 2015, I found out I was unexpectedly expecting. Along comes Paxton, my second baby boy, in November 2015. What a happy surprise.
